Vatican Announces Sainthood for Young Italian

Miracle Attributed to Acutis' Intercession

Rome, Italy - The Vatican has announced that Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized as a saint by Pope Francis. The announcement comes after the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints recognized a miracle attributed to Acutis' intercession.

Acutis, a young Italian who died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15, was known for his deep faith and devotion to the Eucharist. He was a computer whiz and used his skills to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles.

The miracle attributed to Acutis' intercession involved the healing of a Brazilian boy with a rare and life-threatening pancreatic disease. The boy's family prayed to Acutis for his intercession, and the boy's condition reportedly improved dramatically.

Acutis' canonization is expected to take place in the coming months. He will become the first Millennial to be declared a saint by the Catholic Church.
